About

Get your place the best makeover possible.

It was 2008, maybe 2009, the leaky pipe under the sink, about $40 in my account, and calling a plumber wasn’t even on the table. So I did what any stubborn 20-something would do: I watched a few shaky YouTube tutorials, grabbed a wrench, and made things… worse. Water everywhere!! Absolute chaos, soaked through to the subfloor, my wife looking at me like this is what I married.

I got it fixed eventually, most of the day, a lot of muttering, but something weird happened in the middle of all that chaos. I stopped being scared of the problem. That’s the thing nobody tells you: most home repairs aren’t actually hard. They’re just unfamiliar. Once you’ve done it wrong once, you know what right looks like.

I’m Jonathan. I live in Eagle, Idaho, as a site supervisor running remodels. I spend my days solving problems that weren’t on the blueprint, making judgment calls on the fly, and figuring out why something that should take two hours somehow took two days.

My journey to this site didn’t start in an office or with a business plan. It grew directly out of that same instinct that kept me under the sink in 2009. Over the years, that curiosity never really switched off. It just followed me home.

Here, I keep things practical and straightforward, the way I learned them. No fluff, no over complication. Just real guidance for real situations, whether it’s a 10-minute fix or something that takes up your entire weekend. Because not every problem needs a professional crew, sometimes it just needs patience, a bit of direction, and the willingness to try.

Some weekends I’m out on forest trails or watching football with a strong coffee. On other weekends, a friend texts me a photo of something falling apart, and I’m back in it. Honestly, I prefer the second kind. There’s something about fixing what someone was ready to throw out, getting another five good years out of it, that never gets old.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to work and last. That’s the standard I hold myself to, and it’s the one I’ll hold you to here.
